Mi Cultura

Velvety lips, red ribbons, and traditional Mexican braids, these women were the first to bring my culture into my art.

Magdalena and Rosa María were born from my desire to honor where I come from and the traditions that shaped me. I grew up dancing Ballet Folklórico, first as a student, later as an educator, and it remains a defining and joyful part of my life. The red lips and braids pay tribute to that spirit, strength, and beauty.

There are no eyes or ears here, only the feel of soft velvet and ribbons intertwined between our fingers, a reminder that beauty is not always seen or heard, but deeply felt.
